Players take control of the saga's hero Samanosuke Akechi, an elite samurai warrior, as he embarks on an epic adventure to save Princess Yuki, who has been captured by the ruthless Warlord, Oda Nobunga. Veterans of the franchise can also access a 'Samurai' mode, with a new combat system allowing players to chain together multiple attacks and reserve the power of the analog stick for precise movements.

In addition, this game provides you with access to the Oniverse, an online community where you can post your game progress to share with other players, customise your character and more. Additionally, the new sword is even more powerful with some new moves such as the 'Vajra Seal' technique which makes it easier to defend against powerful enemies.
