Sony's Playstation 4 has been an impressive platform for gamers since it was released in 2013. The latest entry in the series allows for much more freedom in mission choices, as well as more strategic options during combat. You can sneak behind enemy lines, employ disguises and call in air support to assist in battle. You have more gadgets, more customization options and more ways to succeed in mission objectives, with a huge selection of weapons, attachments and other items for players to customize and use. You also have the ability to research materials, upgrade troops and even construct your very own Mother Base.

In order to further immerse players in the game, the series also introduces the reintroduced grab and throw controls that enable Snake to grab items and enemies, throw them around and use them as a shield. Doing so causes enemies to become more afraid of Snake, making them think twice before attacking. The improved grab system also allows for some interesting locomotion across the environment as well as for some interesting stealth techniques.

The Playstation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V also adds the extra content from both the Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain, as well as numerous updates such as expanded online multiplayer, improved performance, new costumes, and fixes to the AI.
